Learner:  Darius      Learning Coach: M Lennon - LH4      Date:   2 March 2017
Learning Area:  iActive
NZC Achievement Objective:  Health & PE - Level 1
Movement Concepts and Motor Skills - students will develop a wide range of movement skills, using a variety of equipment and play environments.
Learning Observed
During a skills workshop Darius has been learning how to play tennis.  He has shown that he is a collaborative player by helping others to learn new skills.

Darius showed his capability by participating and contributing and managing himself in the tennis skills workshop.  He confidently connected with the learning by applying what he already knew to what he was learning in the workshop.

The first half of the workshop was where Darius was learning how to throw and catch a tennis ball.  During this half Darius was developing his curiosity through experimentation of different ways to throw the ball so it could be caught by his partner.

The second half of the workshop meant Darius was able to show off his skills though a small game of tennis with a partner.  Darius demonstrated capability by taking a collaborative approach to working with his partner, ensuring they were having equal turns at throwing and hitting the ball.
Evidence of learning

“I’m pretty good at tennis, it’s fun!” - Darius
