Mighty Machines

Learning Observed

During iDevelop Darius has been learning about different machines and their purposes. First Darius watched some video clips showing a range of different machines and what they can do.  Then he had a chance to discuss with his peers what the purpose of the machines were.  Darius demonstrated that he was a capable learner in this activity by confidently describing different machines and their uses. After that Darius actively participated in an activity which saw him using Lego to build a machine for a specific purpose.  Darius demonstrated connections to his prior learning about machines by choosing appropriate pieces to build his machine. Lastly Darius wrote a story describing his machine.  Darius demonstrated curiosity throughout this week of machine works.
